POPCRU mourns the passing on of Cde Nomahlangu Nkosi

It is with great sadness that the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (POPCRU) expresses its heartfelt condolences to Nkosi family and friends.

One of our longest-serving staff members at the POPCRU Head office, Nomahlangu Nkosi, has ceased to exist.
We learned with sadness that she passed away on Wednesday, 23 January 2019.

Fondly known to many of her colleagues, Ous Noma was appointed as the POPCRU Membership and Retention Officer back in 1995, a position she held till her untimely death.

She played an instrumental role in the growth of our union over the years, and it was through her unwavering commitment to the union that value was added to our collective fight for workers’ rights within the criminal justice cluster.

She has throughout these 24 years of service to the union been a pillar of strength and a source of motivation to others, and has served the union with diligence, commitment and honesty.

POPCRU wishes to convey its profound condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

She will be laid to rest as follows;

Thursday 31 January 2019
8am
Emmanuel AME Church, 26 Voortrekker & Eloff Street, Boksburg cbd.

May she rest in peace.
