POPCRU calls on UN General Assembly to vote against US embargo on Cuba

The crucial UN General Assembly meeting due to sit on 31 October is again called to vote on the USA embargo against Cuba.
The Cuban people have endured this inhuman act of barbarism by the USA for decades now.

In the plenary to deal with the necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba, world leaders are called upon to make the right decisions and vote for the unconditional lifting of the embargo against Cuba, the return of Guantanamo Bay to the people of Cuba and an end to all hostilities.

It is not acceptable that again and again, the USA and Israel continue to vote against the lifting of the embargo, yet these two countries parade themselves as champions of human rights, democracy and peace.

President Trump has reversed all the diplomatic gains reached between former President Obama and President Castro.

POPCRU will continue to stand by the side of the Cuban people in their struggle for sovereignty. In this regard we salute and commend the stance taken by All African countries and European Union to move towards opening full trade with Cuba.
