POPCRU seeks to appoint highly motivated, committed and dynamic individuals for the following positions:




  • Grade 12/Matric;
  • Diploma in Politics / Master’s Degree;
    • Intensive Research skills;
    • Strong written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel [especially graphs, spreadsheet creation, sorting], MS Power Point.
  • Ability to work on software packages, such as MS Access, Excel, STATA and/or SPSS
  • Internet and Windows Explorer [creating folders, transferring and saving files];
  • Publications background.

 Major Responsibilities

  • Interact, engage and consult on the legislative processes including formulation and development of bills and regulations.
  • Keep abreast of major procedural developments.
  • Produces high quality analytical and written work in the form of research papers, briefs and reports.
  • Provides guidance to General Secretary on the application of parliamentary practice and procedures.
  • May be assigned the responsibility for the successful implementation of major projects critical to the operations of the Organization.
  • Draft Policy position and inputs for submission to Parliament.
  • Support POPCRU when engaging with Parliament through supporting the Organization when attending Parliamentary Committee Meetings.
  • Ensure alignment of the Organizational Calendar and the programme of Parliament.
  • Managing Communication between POPCRU and Parliament.
  • Conduct quality Control in the Organizational documents to Parliament.
  • Compiling regular reports.




  • Grade 12/Matric;
  • Diploma in Labour Relations;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Labour court and Arbitration Processes.

 Major Responsibilities

  • Coordinates Provincial Activities;
  • Manage case management system;
  • Events Coordination;
  • Liaises and communication with members;
  • Monitoring Provincial Growth
  • Membership retention
  • Budget Management
  • Provincial Performance Management.




  • Grade 12/Matric;
  • LLB Degree
  • Master’s degree in Labour is recommended
  • Knowledge of Labour Relations Act;
  • Legal administration and
  • Knowledge of relevant acts and legislation.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support to the union at large;
  • Provide employee relations leadership and support for union staff and members;
  • Champion labour litigation;
  • Reinforcement of compliance;
  • Litigation by or against the union and
  • Provide management on the legal services and activities of POPCRU.
